Chef Gaggan Anand napustio je restoran Gaggan u Bangkoku. ‘Povrijeđen sam i umoran’

Svega nekoliko dana nakon što je sa svojim suradnicima i prijateljima proslavio sjajno 4. mjesto na listi World’s 50 Best Restaurants, jedan od najvećih azijskih chefova Gaggan Anand na društvenim je mrežama potvrdio da su odvjetnici njegovim partnerima u bangkoškom restoranu Gaggan predali njegovu ostavku. Dan prije proglašenja najbolje plasiranih na World’s 50 Best.

What you all heard from the news about my resignation is TRUE. I resigned as chef of Gaggan restaurant, effective 24 Jun 2019. I’m still business partner of the company. The condition of my resignation is still under reviewing between me and my partners. Next meeting is end of Jul after I come back from family trip in Europe. I was hurted and too tired. But I will make sure that, whatever the result, all Gaggan family will be well taken care. When I say “family”, it’s my staff, my customers and all my fans included. “Ovo što na vijestima čujete o mojoj ostavci je istina. Odlazim s pozicije chefa restorana Gaggan 24. lipnjem 2019. Ostat ću poslovni partner u kompaniji. S partnerima još pregovaram o uvjetima odlaska. Idući sastanak imamo krajem srpnja, kad se vrtim s obiteljsko putovanja po Europi., ” napisao je Gaggan Anand na svom Instagram profilu. O razlozima ostavke nije puno elaborirao. “Bio sam povrijeđ i umoran. Ali pobrinut ću se da bez obzira na ishod ovoga cijela Gagganova obitelj bude zbrinuta. Kad kažem obitelj, mislim na svoj staff, svoje goste pa i svoje fanove. Volim vas sve. Pravovremeno ću vas obavještavati o svemu.” Na kraju posta, Gaggan je dodao “Ps. Uskoro ću morati tražiti novi posao.”

Will dedicate my next 12 months to write and photograph the book of my life .. and dream to launch it free on the last day of gaggan .. 6. Gaggan Anand potpuno je preokrenuo poziciju azijske kuhinje u svjetskoj gastronomiji. Rođeni Indijac, slavan je postao u Bangkoku, nakon što je 2010. otvorio restoran Gaggan. Indijski chef svojom je jedinstvenom estetikom i energijom inspirirao tisuće chefova u Aziji i cijelom svijetu,natjerao gastronomske centre moći da se suoče s diskriminacijom azijskih kuhinja, u kuhinji u Bangkoku primio stotine stažista i tko zna koliko puta proputovao svijet promovirajući otvoreno, inteligentno kuhanje kao moćnu platformu za afirmaciju svih svjetskih kultura hrane i talenata. Gaggan iduće se godine zatvara kako bi se chef Gaggan Anand posvetio novim projektima, od kojih je najvažniji restoran u Japanu. 

Naravno, društvene mreže su se zapalile od nagađanja o Gagganovim problemima, od priča da je ogorčen razočaravajućim plasmanima na listi World’s 50 Best Restaurants do konceptualnih neslaganja s partnerima oko daljnjeg razvoja biznisa. Što god bilo, svjetska gastronomija dosta gubi zatvaranjem Gaggana. No, sudeći po dosadašnjim iskustvima s Gagganom, vjerujemo da će se ovaj neumorni chef brzo reinventati.
